Update

I promised photos of my work, and here are the first shots of my Daemon Prince. I really enjoy this new plastic kit, it is absolutely aces in my book.

More to come, watch this space.

A Step in the Right Direction

Well, as it were, the first steps have been taken towards my army. I have started the assembly, and have a finished Daemon Prince of Tzeentch, and am currently working on my horrors. Found out the Changeling is being discontinued in metal and being switched to Resin, so will be some time before the model is released. That means I will be waiting for some time and must make my own. Will have to see how that goes. Also, have found the model I will be using for my heralds, you can see it here.

More to come in the near future, including pictures.

Ohhhh the Corruption!

Well, was just informed by the chaps at the hobby shop that my pink horrors and daemon prince arrived today. My changeling model is (apparently) on back order, as with the remaining metal models it seems. Will have to pick them up tomorrow (they called me at 5:55, 5 minutes before closing time, go freaking figure) so gotta go tomorrow. An inconvinence for me, but oh well.

In real life news, sold a car today, had a guy drive in from Port Neches (for those of you not from Texas, its about 4 hours from Kilgore where I work. He really wanted his new truck heh). Made a pretty penny to pay bills and buy more stuff. I saw on the storm of magic page some models I would love, namely the chaos sorcerer and sorcerer of tzeentch in plastic, they look nice. May get 2 of them for my heralds when all is said and done. Would be better than using just a regular horror methinks. Thoughts?

6/24/11 - A New Day

Well, here we go. Day one into the first of many here at Tales from the Warp. Today also marks the start of my new job. I was working for the local Honda Dealership in Tyler, until a disagreement with my general sales manager led to the two of us mutually agreeing that I no longer needed to call that place home. 2 1/2 years I gave to the company, and slowly saw it degrade into the pit that it is today. But no worries, I am now working for Buick and GMC here in Kilgore and commuting in the mornings. For those of you who do not know, Kilgore is roughly 45 minutes from Tyler. But it is less hours, less people, friendlier and less hostile enviroment.

Today also marks one week since the order for my daemons. They should be in today, and we have our weekly 40k meet out in Whitehouse where me and my other fellow gamers (can you believe there are only 9 of us in this little town?). I ordered a box of Pink Horrors and a Daemon Prince. Already have Chaos Warhounds to use as Khorne Flesh Hounds and some LOTR Army of the Dead troopers for Plague Bearers. I will give you all an update, should anyone choose to follow me here.

Up and Running

Good evening gentlemen, all your base are belong to us!

Always nice to start things off with a bit of humor. For those of you who do not know the meaning behind that phrase, get on youtube, type it in, and prepare to have your mind blown. Well maybe not blown, but alteast enjoy the funny bits. It is a classic.

I have to give a special thanks to Brent over at Strictly Average and Kirby over at 3++ is the new black. If you have not heard of these guys or their blogs, I have added links to mine so you can be properly educated. They are both great guys, and inspire me with their forays into 40k and the advice they have to give. Brent expecially, as being a fellow gamer, it is nice to know I am not one of the only ones in the Lone Star State. You can expect to find more on this page in the next few days. So make yourselves comfortable and watch this space. Or not, it is your decision. Either way, thank you for your time, and good hunting.
